Preface
The purpose of this handbook is to assist departments and DSAs in understanding their
responsibilities when accessing or using core data stored in campus on-line systems.
"Core" data is defined to be any data made available to the campus community via ACT. This
data includes, but may not be limited to, data in ISIS, IFIS, PPS, Data Warehouse (DB2), and Timekeeping.
In particular, this handbook addresses the responsibilities of the department and the Departmental
Security Administrator (DSA).
Certain departments may ask their DSA to assume additional responsibilities related to internal
departmental computing. This manual only refers to the DSA's responsibility as it pertains to the
access and use of core data.
