The ACT Enterprise Web Application Development team is responsible for developing and supporting the core web-based administrative computing and telecommunication systems for UCSD.

This is a full-time, one year contract position.

Responsibilities include implementation of a Contracts and Grants administration system called Coeus and supporting web applications.

Technologies used in this system include XML, XSLT, PL/SQL, J2EE, Java-Swing, Oracle, and Web Services. Development is performed on desktops and deployed to a large computer center consisting of Unix, Sun and IBM servers and mainframes.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with XML, XSLT, XPath.
• Proven experience with SQL, Oracle, data migration.
• Experience with JSP, Java, J2EE, OO, Javascript, Server-side frameworks a plus.
• Experience with Unix, and scripting languages a plus.
• Knowledge of Web Services, WSDL.
• Experience collaborating with several programmers on large software systems.
• Proficient skills in written and verbal communication.
