This page is dedicated to my new project car. A
'63 Chevy II Nova SS. I purchased it, from a friend, in June 2001. He had
owned the car for about 12 years and had not done anything with it. I talked
to him regarding selling it. He agreed and I became it's new owner. The
car is basically a roller as it has no engine or transmission. The car has
had a tough life as a street racer. The interior is gutted and has had some
"less then quality" work done. At one time, it had a V8 with a
TH400 trans. When I bought it, it had stock type steel wheels with four
very flat tires. A friend sold me a set of US Indy Slot Mag wheels with
tires that hold air. I picked these up so I could roll the car. Once I put
them on the car, they just looked right.
I made up my mind about how I am going to build
the car. I had been torn between two different schools of thought. One way
is to go with a more Pro-Street look. Lowered, with some fat meats on the
back. The other way is a nostalgic, solid front axle setup, like in the
early '60's. Since I have always liked the Pro-Street, lowered look, I decided
this is the way I am building it. I think I will enjoy this much longer
then a straight axle setup. This project is a long term one. I am looking
forward to getting it on the road and hope you will follow along as I make
progress. I will update the different pages to this site as work on the
car progresses. I hope you check back and see what is going on. Enjoy the
ride.
