Newton Case
Install newton

I liked the case that came with the newton but was having trouble keeping reports in it and I liked using the newton landscape style.   So I found this 20.00 case at Staples and  it fits the keyboard perfectly.  I spent 20.00 for the case and 4 bucks on car dashboard material(1/3 of a yard “to much material”).  Total, I only spent 25 bucks on this case.   The next couple of pages will show you how to create yours own as well.

The case can hold files, 4 pens, 3 pc cards, 2 floppy disk, and couple of credit cards.  It has a small zipper compartment for holding money or check book.  The front pocket can hold cd-roms, a thin book or any thin material.  If you are planning to carry pc cards use the pouch and not the credit card holders.  You might scratch the newton screen.

UPDATE!!!!People have been concerned about the cover braking. So I have redesigned my case with this new way of proping up the newton. Either Landscape or Portrait. This way is much more sturdy than the previous one. Take a look. Click on theLinkbelow. Have fun.

Material you will need:

  • Design A Day Padfolio from Staples (Part No. 8034-5256-A)
  • Some type of velcro material, the soft side.                                        A sheet that is 10 1/4” x 9” & a strip 2 3/4” x 9” ( I bought car dashboard material from UFO.)
  • Compressed cardboard, 12” x 8 3/4” x 2/16”.  ( Like the ones they use in three ring binders)
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Scissors
  • Screw Driver or Drill
  • Strip of cardboard 1” x 6 1/4” (got to have some of this lying around)
  • Some ruff side velcro about 7 inches worth.
